JLucas Recordings - Terms and Conditions
Services
- Production, recording, editing, mixing, mastering, and performance (double bass and bass guitar).
- Any work outside the agreed scope requires a separate agreement and additional fees.
Recording Philosophy
- High-quality results depend on strong performances and appropriate recording conditions.
- Post-production is not intended to compensate for performance, acoustic, or recording limitations.
Recording Environments
- Recording is carried out exclusively in professional studios or suitable concert spaces.
- Home recording environments are not offered due to acoustic and technical limitations.
- On-location recording is available when required (e.g. orchestras, choirs, large ensembles) and may involve additional costs for equipment, transport, and setup.
- João works with a roster of professional studios suitable for different budgets.
- Studio hire and related services (e.g. piano tuning) are external costs and billed separately.
Studio Time
- Studio days are based on 8 hours.
- Additional hours incur extra fees and must be agreed in advance.
Editing & Processing
- Auto-Tune and artificial pitch correction are not included.
- Any requested pitch correction or similar processing incurs additional fees.
- Editing prioritizes musical integrity and natural performance.
Revisions
- 2 revision rounds included.
- Additional revisions are billed separately.
Payment Terms
- A non-refundable deposit is required to begin work.
- For multi-stage projects (recording / editing / mixing), each stage must be paid in full before proceeding to the next.
- Final deliverables are released only after full payment.
Deliverables & Files
- Final mixes are delivered in the agreed formats after full payment.
- Stems are available upon request after full payment.
- DAW project files are not provided.
- Full payment is required even if the client chooses to continue the project elsewhere.
Copyright
- The client is responsible for clearing all copyrights unless João is explicitly engaged as producer.
- Copyright clearance and licensing, when handled by João, involve additional costs.
Cancellation
- Cancellations must be made in writing.
- Deposits are non-refundable.
- Payment is due for work completed up to the cancellation date.
Liability
- João is not responsible for data loss after final delivery.
- Liability is limited to the total project fee.
Pricing

€45 / hour + BTW (VAT)

Additional Information
- Studio hire, equipment rental, travel costs, and services such as piano tuning are not included and billed separately.
- On-location recordings may require additional equipment and setup time.

- Pricing varies depending on the scope of the project.
